Painting for me is a way of life. I aspire to create visible feelings that can be shared and experienced by those interested enough to pause and wonder. My work is entirely personal, I call upon m my life’s experiences to inspire me.

I found that my best paintings were reflecting my own feelings; technique and method became subordinate to my intent to really express myself. Colour became a fascination - how one colour can enhance another, the richness of pure colour. Now colour is central to my painting.

Teaching has always been something I love to do (I was once a Flying Instructor) and through my painting experiences I became aware I could offer fellow artists help along the way to becoming personally expressive.

I hold one to one sessions that are proving very valuable to the artists concerned; I have my own course called Find Your Own Painting Direction; it is residential over four and one half days, or it can be compressed into workshops-you can read more by clicking Teaching.

I exhibit my work and naturally I am pleased when someone buys one of my paintings.

It is a fine compliment to have a creation of mine appreciated and displayed in someone's home or office.
