Find Your Own Personal Way to Paint.
At some point in their painting journey a lot of artists begin to feel strongly that there is more to painting than recreating an image accurately and faithfully. They want to "do their own thing" and to make paintings that are truly their own creation. But they can only find art courses that concentrate on "how to paint" rather than on the real issue of "why" and "what" to paint. They can become more proficient at applying paint but their real needs are not being satisfied.
I experienced this feeling after about four years of painting but it can happen at any time. I became frustrated and could have lost interest in painting had I not been lucky enough to find some like minded people; we worked together and developed our own individual paintings.
Later I developed an art course called Find Your Own Individuality and ran it as a residential course in various places in the UK. The results were amazing to see. Artists finished the course painting quite differently to the way they started having taken steps to find their own direction. Their paintings were now personally satisfying, individual and engaging to the viewer.
I hold one to one tuition for artists in my studio at Chobham with the same aim. The personal attention and shaping of the tuition to match individual needs quickly results in students painting their own way. I believe I equip them to continue to develop long after the tuition is finished.
If you are a painter (it does not matter what medium you use) and think I could help you then talk it through with me before making any other moves. Call me on 07941 562 162 at any reasonable time and we will see how it could work for you. Or, if you prefer, you can email me on email@example.com. I will discuss with you your experiences and aspirations for as long as it takes, and, if it feels right we will set up some tuition sessions.
I charge £25 per hour and each session lasts about two hours.
